Salary: Up to £50,000 per annum, + 30 days holiday + 8 bank holidays.

The Integration Technical lead is responsible for the design, development and operations of the various system to system interfaces, dataflow, APIs and integration middleware within British Business Bank. It combines aspect of integration and technical architect skills to model the systems involved, lead the development of the APIs and select the integration approaches and patterns to be used by various projects.

 
Responsibilities:
• Creating solution designs and a roadmap that explain the problem, the architecture, how the system works, key considerations for security and data privacy and how it will be delivered aligning to architecture and delivery standards.
• Establishing the required governance policies and implementation patters that will ensure integration is consistent, efficient, effective and to a quality of service that meets business needs.
• Leading design and delivery of Azure APIs and other Integration solutions aligned to best practices and standards
• Leading design and integration using Azure platforms in a manner which allows the management and provision of data in a secure and reliable manner.
• Establishing an Integration Centre of Excellence to support Projects with common design & development principles, standards, and processes.
• Providing technical advice to Projects and support them with solution design documents and other technical deliverables.
• Leading IM Architecture Review Group to review technical designs and provide comments per company Roadmap.
• Be the prime technical contact person for any internal, vendors or support partners queries related to Integration and Middleware technologies.
• Collaborating with the support-teams around production incidents involving integration to ensure their timely resolution and recovery and preventative measures are taken to avoid recurrence.
• Keeping up to date with industry trends and developments.

Knowledge and Experience:
Essential:

• A minimum of 5+ years of experience in software development utilizing a variety of common system integration methods and technologies including web services, SOAP, JSON, REST, APIs, XML, automated testing frameworks, and orchestration tools.
• Expertise in comparing integration approaches and assessing their relative strengths and limitations in terms of meeting business goals.
• Experience developing integrations in several technologies and languages such as Microsoft .NET, Java, JavaScript, PHP, and Python, as well as scripting in Linux and Windows.
• Strong knowledge of Azure Integration services (API Management, Logic Apps, Event Grid & Service Bus.), Azure Functions, Visual Studio.
• Good understanding of SDLC, Git based versioning systems and CI/CD, Terraform and Azure DevOps.
• Ability to lead internal developer team and liaise with stakeholders at various level.

 
Desirable:

• Working knowledge of Azure Data Factory/Other ETL tools.
• Understanding of NoSQL/schema-less architectures.
• TOGAF Certified.
• Experience of working in Financial Services.
