Underwriting Accountant

I am currently supporting a large insurance business on their search for an Underwriting Accountant this is a newly created unique opportunity during a period of growth.
The role will be responsible for
* Complete, accurate and timely annually accounted financial data and associated analytics for monthly as well as quarterly. deliverables across the group and entities including but not limited to actual, forecast, plan and SII technical provisions.
* Syndicate level ownership for underwriting values in the P&L.
* Produce monthly commentary on the result relating to assigned Syndicate.
* Liaise with other departments to support the production, development and reconciliation of all relevant inputs that feed all the underwriting accounting processes.
* Execute all financial controls in area within specified time frames.
* Hybrid/flexible working available.
Profile Requirements:
* Qualified or part qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) preferable.
* London Insurance Market experience, specifically Lloyd's, with a minimum of two years' experience.
* Understanding of Premium recognition principals on both a Gross and RI basis.
* Knowledge of PowerQuery and PowerBI is preferable but not essential.
