Job Title: Senior Marine Underwriter

My client is a leading global insurance company with a current focus on marine insurance.
They are seeking an experienced Senior Marine Underwriter to join the team in Zurich. The successful candidate will be responsible for underwriting and managing a portfolio of marine insurance policies, ensuring that risks are assessed accurately, policies are priced appropriately, and will report into the Head of Marine, acting as deputy when required..
Responsibilities:
* Underwrite marine insurance policies in accordance with company guidelines and underwriting standards
* Develop and maintain relationships with brokers and clients
* Analyse and evaluate risks associated with marine insurance policies
* Price marine insurance policies based on risk and exposure
* Provide guidance and mentorship to junior underwriters
* Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless delivery of services to clients
* Stay up-to-date with industry developments and trends
* Participate in industry events and conferences
Qualifications:
* Minimum of 6 years of experience in marine underwriting
* Strong knowledge of marine insurance products and services
* Demonstrated ability to underwrite complex risks and develop pricing strategies
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
